Hi, I’m Meg Houghton (she/her)
I’m a Toronto-based Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), specializing in narrative, mindfulness and psychedelic-assisted approaches to mental health. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in colleges and universities for two decades supporting student mental health, wellness and accessibility for students with disabilities.
Problems like anger, anxiety, or depression can take a front seat in our lives, distorting our relationships and overshadowing our strengths. I work with clients to explore their relationship to problems and move toward desired futures. For me, the therapeutic relationship is collaborative and creative, not “expert healer treating unwell client”. Let’s work together to reduce suffering in the mind, body, and spirit.
I respectfully acknowledge that I live and work on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, the Attawandaron and the Haudenosaunee peoples as part of Treaties 14 and 22.
